Wilbur Pages

Welcome to Wilbur
The Wilbur pages are some of the sights, sounds, events, activities, people and businesses of Wilbur and the surrounding communities. Please check back often as we will continually be adding new content.

Located in the heart Lincoln County wheat country Wilbur sits at the junction of Hwy 2 (running East and West) and Hwy 21 (running North and South) (see map). We like to say "all roads lead to Wilbur".

Wilbur provides its residents, and visitors alike, a comfortable safe haven from the hustle and crowds of bigger cities while still providing access to all  popular ammenties such as a local park and swimming pool, grocery stores, pharmacy, deptarment store, local newspaper, hardware and gardening supplies, restaraunts, computer sales & service, auto parts, automotive repair shops, legal services, insurance agents, beauty salons and much, much more. See our local business directory for a current list.

If sports are your main interest Wilbur makes a great launching point. We are surrounded by fishing and hunting opportunites and there are miles of hiking trails within a short distance.

Fly fishing for crappie on a nearby lake is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

Perhaps you are interested in sighteeing or wildlife viewing. Both are found around Wilbur in abundance with with many stunning vistas and on a single outing you might spy, hawks, owls and other birds of prey, songbirds, upland game birds such pheasants or quail and wild turkeys, waterfowl, deer (even some elk now and again), coyotes, badgers and a whole lot more.

A view overlooking the Keller Ferry Crossing of Lake Roosevelt

A pair of Great Horned owls that chose to build their nest in the backyard of John and Marion Sherwood. There's quite a story about them and we'll include it here one of these days.

Popular tourest sites such as Grand Coulee Dam  and historical Keller Ferry are only a short drive away

or you can slip into a quiet canyon where your only company is your shadow and perhaps a hawk overhead and watch swallows build their nests and raise their young.
